The Custom Power Management program provides power management features for the Armada and Evo notbook computers listed below. It gives customers the flexibility to balance power conservation (which extends battery life) with performance (which reduces battery life), according to their specific needs and preferences.

Installation


HOW TO USE:

  1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

  2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates 3 new directory folders in the download directory. All files are unpacked into these newly created directory folders.

  3. After the directory has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

  4. To create the optional installation diskette(s), run MAKEDISK.BAT and follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. To install, run SETUP.EXE from either the DISK1 subdirectory (created in step 2 above) or from diskette #1 (if you created diskettes in step 4 above). Follow the directions on the screen.

  6. After the installation is completed, you may delete the directory folders created in step 2 if you wish.
